Ladysmith is a charming, historic seaside town located on the east coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Situated directly on the 49th parallel, it is about 23 km south of Nanaimo and 85km north of Victoria along Trans Canada Highway 1. Getting Here
The following Airports serve the Ladysmith area:
Nanaimo Airport (YCD)
Comox Valley Airport (YQQ)
Victoria International Airport (YYJ)
Vancouver International Airport (YVR)
(Rental vehicles are available from all Airports)
The Naniamo Airport is 10 minutes away, which is recommended; another option is the Victoria Airport, which is 1.5 hours away. Nanaimo Airport is serviced by WestJet and Air Canada. WestJet has direct flights from Calgary, while Air Canada has many connecting flights via Vancouver. Typically, it is not much more to fly to Nanaimo with WestJet than flying into Vancouver. If you choose to drive and take the ferry, it is highly recommended to make a BC Ferries reservation.
